Codian at InfoComm: Geese, Mind Readers. What Next?
It's been a year since the spirited team at Codian goosed a Codian spokesman with Conferencing News at InfoComm. Any company that doesn't take itself so seriously and continues to put out quality products gets our attention. Today's Codian press release - about 1080p, Google Talk, and something called ClearVision - will create more waves in the industry. They've even got a celebrity, psychological illusionist to do mind-reading via Codian technology at the InfoComm trade show.
We're not sure about the so-called illusion of telepresence being mixed with the "skills" of a psychological illusionist to display one's techno wares. Do two illusions equal a positive reaction? Are you focussing on the trickery of the illusionist and not the technology? Perhaps that's the point. Anyway, whether they're goosing each other in live demos for YouTube or having a nutsy illusionist read minds "telepresence-style", Codian is having fun and continues to surprise and annoy some in the industry with their "pesky" progress.
