American Declinists are - yet again! - taking over the world. ...Or at least Madison Avenue. Check out this Cisco commercial for its new
videoconferencing telepresence system. It pits a diverse group of American kids against a red (of course) uniformed group of Asian kids in a staring contest. Guess who wins? ...To borrow from the phrase "better off dead than red," in the realm of conferencing, we say "better off here than there."
Of course, maybe there is here. Indeed, the two groups of kids could be here, in this country, as they're all awake and in school. Right? ...So what's the commercial director suggesting? Private school kids are superior to public school kids in staring contests? Talk about class warfare!
