We still can't figure out why a conferencing summit would be scheduled during the time that includes President's Day (formerly called Washington's Birthday, so as to not dis anyone like Lincoln, and to not offend the feelings of other sensitive, deceased presidents who might roll in their graves without party hats). But anyway, so it is on February 21 and 22, the Collaborative Conferencing Summit 2005 will rock on. And speaking of presidents, Ben Lilienthal, President of VoIP-bridge maker Vapps, Inc., will be hosting what, as scuttlebutt has it, will be one of the hottest events at the summit: A cocktail reception from 6-8pm at the Westin Hotel. Let's all make our mark on Vapps Q1 P&L by ordering Maker's Mark at the Vapps reception. (Note to Ben: Actually, the CN staff prefers Jack Daniel's. Thanks.) ...The Vapps Reception on President's Day: Be there!
